QT Newcastle is the first regional hotel in New South Wales to be part of QT’s designer collection.
Housed in the heritage-listed 113-year-old David Jones building on Hunter Mall, the 104-room QT Newcastle by Richard Crookes Construction, is the jewel in the crown of the $880m East End reinvigoration by Iris Capital that spans four city blocks.
The dramatic design by Nic Graham draws inspiration from the elements; earth, water and light, to achieve a dramatic visual feast, reflecting the hues of Newcastle’s coastline. While no two rooms are the same, common elements of colour, texture and brushed brass accents bind every zone into a lush and perfectly themed cohesive whole.
